Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at Ospika Animal Hospital, located in Prince George, BC. The Lead RVT will oversee the daily operations of veterinary care, including conducting patient assessments, administering medications, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting in surgical procedures. Responsibilities also include mentorship and support for the veterinary team, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a high standard of patient care. The Lead RVT will play an active role in creating a welcoming and client-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in patient assessment, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical assistance
• Strong organizational skills, effective leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset
• Knowledge of veterinary technology, medical terminology, and proper handling of equipment
• Excellent interpersonal communication, client education, and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in a leadership role is an asset
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring attention to detail while managing multiple tasks
