Position Overview

Tutor Teach is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Tutor to join our team in Medicine Hat, Alberta. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with students and wants to make a difference in their academic journey. You'll provide personalized instruction and mentorship that helps learners meet, and exceed, their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver individualized lesson plans based on each student's strengths and learning needs.
  • Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions across multiple subjects (including French).
  • Create an encouraging, engaging environment that motivates students to participate and grow.
  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies to support continuous improvement.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding progress and next steps.
  • Keep organized records of attendance, assessments, and feedback.
  • Stay current with educational methods and integrate best practices into each session.

Qualifications

  • Completion or ongoing pursuit of a post-secondary degree (BEd, BA, BSc, BKin, BComm, etc.)
  • Experience working with children in an academic or tutoring environment.
  • Strong knowledge of language instruction; experience with French is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with learners of all ages.
  • Understanding of inclusive or special education practices is beneficial.
  • Strength in mathematics or related subjects is an advantage, though not required.
  • Comfortable using technology for online sessions and digital communication.
