Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing
  • Dividing concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluating how much labor and materials are required for each stage
  • Finish concrete surfaces with precision and attention to detail to ensure durability and quality
  • Resolving all problems that may affect project quality and completion
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely to achieve smooth finishes
  • Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project specifications
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
  • Assist in setting forms and preparing work sites for concrete pouring
  • Support other construction activities as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in concrete finishing with several years' experience with curb gutters, and sidewalks
  • Ability to mentor and train
  • Strong knowledge of concrete properties and finishing techniques
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively
  • Good understanding of blueprints and schematics
  • Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged work periods
  • Commitment to safety standards on-site
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute to job sites around the Lower Mainland

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
