Role objectives User Experience Designers at Open Text research, design, prototype, and test software products that solve critical business needs of our customers. Through a sound understanding of the underlying architecture, product vision and requirements, we create compelling, usable user interfaces for complex enterprise software applications across desktop, web, tablet, and mobile platforms. We work as essential development team members in a highly collaborative, agile environment to create industry leading Enterprise Information Management software solutions.
The Sr. Principal UX Designer leads cross product unit design initiatives, coordinating all involved UX disciplines, and in close collaboration with stakeholders from Development and Product Management.
What the role offers:
As a Principal UX Designer, you will:
•Be recognized as an internal expert, leveraging broad industry expertise and specialized UX Design knowledge.
•Proactively lead large-scale UX Design projects, cross product unit initiatives and product design integrations, working closely with UX disciplines and internal stakeholders.
•Accountable for end-to-end concepts and solutions that are critical for a product unit.
•Contribute to developing user experience design guidelines, UX Design principles, UX Design internal processes and best practices.
•Tackle unique product design requirements with exceptional analytical skills, finding compelling, innovative, and accessible design solutions.
•Lead large project teams, collaborate with product management and development leads, and communicate complex design approaches to diverse stakeholders within the engineering organization.
What you need to Succeed:
Possess 12-15 years of previous professional experience.Design specifications: Figma, Adobe CCCollaboration: FigJam, and other internal systemsKnowledge: current HTML and CSSProcess: JIRA, Confluence, Octane / ValueEdgeAccessibility (WCAG, Section 508, etc.)Design Systems•Design Thinking methodologieA plus - Experience designing complex enterprise applications (DAM, ECM, SAP, RM, BPM, ERP, or WCM). - Prior experience doing UX within an Agile environment. - UI development experience (HTML, CSS, JS) for web, desktop, or mobile applications. Education - Degree in HCI, Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Science, Interaction Design, Computer Science, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or related experience.
