Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Financial Reporting to join our growing team. This role is a key contributor to the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of our financial reporting. The successful candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and mentor others. You will be responsible for managing the preparation of consolidated financial statements, supporting external audit requirements, and ensuring effective internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in collaboration with various business areas
- Oversee the documentation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and corporate policies
- Coordinate and manage external audit activities, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate
- Review and analyze entity-level monthly financial statements for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with corporate reporting standards
- Develop, mentor, and coach team members to foster professional growth, technical expertise, and leadership readiness
- Partner with senior leaders across finance and operations to provide insights that support decision-making and strategic planning
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and drive best practices in financial reporting
- Stay current with accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends to ensure compliance and proactive planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Recognized accounting designation
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Yardi Voyager is an asset
