NextStar Energy (NSE) is a joint venture between LG Energy Solution and Stellantis. NextStar Energy will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begin production at the site on over 200-acres of land on Twin Oaks Drive near Banwell Road.

The manufacturing facility is targeted to have an annual production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager for General Procurement and Maintenance and Repair Operations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supply and demand for material and risk management. This role requires a strong understanding of Supply Chain Management and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sourcing, supplier selection, and negotiations for equipment, materials, and construction services.
  • Issue purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure adherence to contractual terms.
  • Conduct cost analysis, market research, and supplier performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure compliance with CRA, audit, and company requirements.
  • Review and process supplier invoices in coordination with the Accounting and Finance teams, and track payment status to ensure timely settlements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering or Business administration Field.
  • Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering.
  • Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics.
  • 5+ years experience in procurement field
  • Strong knowledge of procurement process, contract law, vendor management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with ERP and/or SAP software is an asset

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing plant, industrial facilities, or construction projects.
