Position Summary: FSPEI is seeking a Program Coordinator & Facilitator to lead the launch, promotion, coordination, and co-delivery of evidence-based relationship education programs for new parents and couples.

The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing access to relationship education by building community awareness and delivering high-quality, trauma-informed workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of relationship education workshops, including registration, scheduling, logistics, materials preparation, and delivery
  • Co-facilitate group sessions with Clinical Therapists using established curricula that the candidate will be trained in
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and emotionally safe group environment using trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches
  • Support participant engagement through facilitation of reflective exercises, discussion, and skill-building activities
  • Lead outreach and promotion efforts in collaboration with communications support, including community presentations, flyers, social media, and referral pathways
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to support referrals and accessibility
  • Collect and maintain accurate program data (registrations, attendance, demographics, feedback) and support basic evaluation activities, including surveys and qualitative feedback
  • Contribute to program reporting, summaries, and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in education, psychology, social work, family studies, community development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or educational programs with adults or families
  • Experience with community outreach, partnership building, or program promotion considered an asset
  • Relevant lived experience is an asset

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal and group facilitation skills
  • Familiarity with relationship education, perinatal mental health, or family wellbeing is an asset. Understanding of family dynamics, adverse childhood experiences and family violence
  • Ability to work with diverse populations using inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Evening and/or weekend work required to support group delivery
  • Travel within Prince Edward Island
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Our core office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm but we can provide a flexible schedule. Occasional evenings and/or weekends will be required for the delivery of scheduled workshops.

Location: This position is hybrid with 2 scheduled days a week in our Charlottetown office. Mileage is reimbursed for offsite travel.

Management: This position reports to the Executive Director of FSPEI.
