Ocean Capital has an opportunity for a Manager- IT Architecture . Reporting to the Vice President – Information Technology, this position will play a crucial role in the development and strategic progression of IT architecture within the organization. This position involves owning and managing the architecture of all IT systems, ensuring alignment with business goals, and optimizing the IT ecosystem to support the company's growth and transformation initiatives. The Manager – IT Architecture will provide leadership across business- and IT teams, ensuring effective coordination, resource management, and governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Architecture Management: Design and implement the IT architecture strategy and framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements
  • IT Security: Ensure the company's architecture is secure by design, with continuous attention to risks and threats, and proactive measures to prevent, mitigate, and remediate them
  • Governance: Establish governance structures for stakeholder alignment and regular architecture reviews
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and advice to all teams and individuals involved in preparing or making decisions which will have an impact on the company's IT ecosystem; provide and maintain methodologies, templates, training, and senior advice
  • Optimization: Continuously optimize the IT architecture framework to ensure consistent application of best practice

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in IT architecture, including managing teams in systems analysis, business analysis, systems architecture, and development
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field
  • Deep expertise in IT architecture methodologies, tools, and techniques, with documented proficiency in frameworks such as TOGAF, Gartner Enterprise Architecture, IT4IT, and others
  • Strong command of key IT management standards and practices, including ITIL, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 38500, Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe), COBIT, and CMMI
  • Exceptional attention to detail, paired with the ability to think strategically and communicate the broader architectural vision to diverse stakeholders
  • Financially astute, with a solid understanding of the cost implications of architectural decisions, and the ability to propose investment plans aligned with IT roadmaps and strategic business objectives
  • Highly adaptable and flexible, thriving in dynamic team environment
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
  • Understand and appreciate the need for confidentiality
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels within the organization as evidenced by success in working collaboratively with others to effectively coordinate activities to accomplish goals
  • Appetite to shape a new function within a dynamic IT organization, with the ability to influence and lead beyond formal reporting lines
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks
