Salary information : Competitive wages ($21.43 to $21.96/hour) 

Week NIGHT shift: Monday to Thursday 5:30 pm to 5:30 am

An overview of your daily life

Job Description

• Handle products carefully to bring them to the storage line using a propane or electrical sit-down forklift
• Transport various materials and/or supplies for operational needs
• Inspect machinery before the start of each shift and change operators as required
• Ensure the cleaning of the premises and equipment to keep the work environment clean and safe 
• Review work completed on previous shift and work to be completed according to priorities established by the production supervisor
• Notify the production supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns
• Operate the forklift safely and meticulously
• Be very vigilant in the method of driving, in order to avoid accidents and/or overturns: pedestrians, buildings, fixed equipment, trucks and other machinery
• Use the forklift according to its capabilities and limits
• Outdoor work environment
• Be buckled up at all times
• Responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of the machine
• Comply with company health and safety rules
• All other related duties

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator's competency card or to be renewed 
• Experience as a sit-down forklift operator (1 year minimum)
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Good attendance record 
• Resourcefulness
• Punctual person
• Ensure compliance with work safety standards and instructions

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
