Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing holistic care, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions through osteopathic manipulative treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and conditions.
  • Utilize osteopathic manipulative techniques to treat musculoskeletal issues and promote overall wellness.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers in home care, hospital settings, and pediatric environments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with medical office protocols.
  • Engage in data collection and research to enhance treatment methodologies and improve patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and the benefits of osteopathic treatments.
  • Stay updated with advancements in osteopathy and related fields to provide the best care possible.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice osteopathy.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pain management practices.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems such as Cerner or Epic is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pediatrics, home care, or hospital settings is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to conduct research and apply findings to clinical practice.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends.
