Job Summary
Standard Broadband is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative. This position will play a critical role in the growth of our business. Excellent attention to detail and superior communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must exhibit an ability to work in a self-motivated environment while maintaining a professional "customer first" attitude. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, career-oriented individual desirous of being part of an evolving organization.
Responsibilities will include:
- Handle incoming calls and emails from sales prospects and from existing corporate and residential customers
- Process residential sales orders, provide follow-through and work with other departments to ensure streamlined operations
- Provide accurate information regarding services, products, and promotions, ensuring customers fully understand their options
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments
- Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing customers
- Take part in outside marketing efforts to create business with new customers, such as mailers and door to door advertising.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum one year customer service and/or sales experience
- Prior experience in the Telecommunications industry is preferred
- A vehicle and valid G class driver's license
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings as the schedule requires
- Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
- Technical acumen would be an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Decision making, problem solving and creative thinking skills required
- Proficient level computer skills a must (Microsoft Office at a minimum)
- Ability to deal with people in a professional, courteous and friendly manner while exceeding customer expectations
- Attention to detail and effective time management and organizational skills are necessary
- Ability to work in a busy environment, multi-task, take direction when necessary, and handle concurrent tasks without close supervision
- Work effectively in a team environment and have a willingness to learn in a quickly changing industry
