The
Procurement Supervisor
is responsible for supervising and executing the procurement activities related to the Strategic/Corporate Categories within Canada and US.

The Role:

  • Supervise and execute the procurement activities related to the Strategic/Corporate Categories in Canada and US, focused on sourcing from a wide range of vendors strategic/corporate MRO and Service categories.
  • Consolidation, standardization and leverage of the high value spend (Strategic) across two countries, five business units.
  • Responsible for tendering and negotiating annual supply contracts with external vendors ranging from $30k to $50 million, multi-year, cross BU spend [consistent with procurement policies, best practices and audit compliance].
  • Networking and linking internal, and external, stakeholders to achieve full compliance with corporate requirements, maximum coherence & execution excellence - while capturing immediate, as well as long term benefits [ie. Savings and performance].

Must Have:

  • Diploma or degree from accredited College or University with major in Business Administration or Engineering.
  • Supply Chain Management, CPP, PMAC designation preferred
  • 5-7 years plus in Procurement & Supply Chain, working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in cement, construction or heavy industry.
  • Prior Experience managing a team preferred
  • SAP or ERP system experience required
