As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing Essential Homemaking Support: Execute homemaking tasks according to the established care plan, ensuring the highest standards of comfort and safety for our clients.Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: Perform light housekeeping duties, including washing dishes, doing laundry, making beds, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, vacuuming, and removing garbage.Meal Preparation and Shopping: Prepare nutritious meals as outlined in the care plan and shop for groceries and personal items.Childcare and Pet Care: Provide attentive childcare and pet care as specified in the care plan.Monitoring and Reporting: Observe client conditions meticulously and report any unusual events or changes in condition promptly.Infection Prevention: Adhere to infection prevention practices to ensure a safe environment.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation as required.Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay updated with best practices in home support.

Education:

Secondary School Graduate or equivalentCompletion of Home Support Program/courses preferred

Other Requirements:

Reliable transportationClear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening

Experience and skills:

Proven experience, of at least one year, in a similar role is highly desirable.Understanding of infection prevention practices.Exceptional communication and observational skills.Proficiency in performing light housekeeping tasks.Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
