About the Role:

Axiom Builders is excited to offer an internship opportunities with our Accounting team this summer (June to August 2026) To view all internship opportunities, click here.

This summer, from June to August, Axiom Builders is looking for an Accounting Intern to dive into a fast-paced environment and make a real impact. In this role, you'll be hands on with key accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and audit documentation, all while working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. If you're eager to gain invaluable experience handling high volume, complex accounting tasks, this is the perfect opportunity to jumpstart their career in a thriving industry During this internship you will learn how to:

• Prepare and organize subcontractor hold back packages;
• Deposit and ensure accurate entry of cheques/eft receivables;
• Assist with reviewing and entering subcontractor progress draws;
• Sync subcontractor progress draws using Acumatica for seamless integrations and real-time project tracking;
• Conduct thorough reviews of AP/AR aging for projects, proactively identifying overdue invoices;
• Assist in compiling audit documentation and coding invoices.

Please note that start dates may vary. We are happy to accommodate students with a slightly different internship start date.

What you Bring:

• Currently enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• Strong communication; confidence and ability to communicate with all levels of management;
• A strong work ethic - eager to learn, resourceful, and committed;
• Academic experience with Acumatica ERP, Sage/Timberline or similar large accounting systems will be considered an asset;
• Prior experience in a construction or job costing environment will be considered an asset.
