Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support remedial option evaluations, treatment system upgrades, stormwater infrastructure, landfill closure applications, and infrastructure oversight
  • Participate in design of remedial systems, in-situ treatments, barrier walls, landfill covers, and treatment plant upgrades
  • Conduct field visits to oversee work, review conditions, and manage contractors or staff
  • Prepare or review technical reports, monitoring documents, tender packages, designs, specifications, and contracts
  • Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables for assigned projects
  • Apply innovative and practical engineering solutions in alignment with project goals
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, reports, and specifications for capital and operational projects
  • Administer and manage project-related contracts
  • Coordinate with clients, regulators, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Lead project teams, promote collaboration, and provide mentorship as needed
  • Conduct peer reviews and act as a technical resource to staff
  • Contribute to and approve engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of relevant engineering experience in areas listed above
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Experience in environmental consulting or a related field
  • P.Eng. designation in British Columbia
  • Strong understanding of environmental engineering principles, regulations, and guidelines
  • Proven experience managing project timelines, deliverables, and technical documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate, resolve conflicts, and lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently
  • Interest and ability to supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)
  • Valid BC Class 5 driver's license
