Technical Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
· Backing up the sales team on technical inquiries (support)
· Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients to understand their operations and electrical needs.
Sales & Technical Solutions
· Present and explain Boundary Electric's products and services, including transformers, switchgear, custom electrical assemblies, and power distribution equipment.
· Analyze customer requirements to determine the best technical solutions and product configurations.
· Prepare accurate proposals, quotes, and technical presentations.
· Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility, pricing accuracy, and alignment with client expectations.
Project Coordination
· Assist in project planning, timelines, and delivery coordination.
· Maintain visibility and communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure client satisfaction.
Market & Product Expertise
· Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, electrical codes, and safety standards.
· Contribute feedback to product development teams regarding customer requirements and market gaps.
· Represent Boundary Electric at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 1–3+ years of technical sales, engineering, or electrical industry experience preferred.
· Strong understanding of electrical power distribution, transformers, switchgear, and industrial electrical systems. (Required)
· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics, RQ Documents
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think both technically and strategically.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in manufacturing, power distribution, or industrial electrical equipment.
· Previous experience working with utilities, EPC firms, or large industrial clients.
· Competency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
