Aerostream is looking for a committed, hardworking and responsible individual to join our Warehouse team as a Part Time/On Call Forklift Operator.

The Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving, loading, and assisting in processing shipments. Working alongside other warehouse personnel and company drivers you will be sorting goods and packages that arrive at the company warehouse for storage or transfer. You will be loading and unloading freight within the warehouse on racks and on/off trucks from the loading docks. As well you will be required to assist with other tasks or projects as assigned.

Job Summary:

· Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup (pull, wrap, label, ship, etc.).

· Receive and process shipments arriving at the warehouse.

· Report any discrepancies.

· Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, and bins accordingly.

· Loading and unloading of trucks.

· Operate warehouse forklift vehicles and equipment.

· Follow quality service standards

· Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

· Keep a clean and safe working environment

· Check for customs release pertaining to shipments in the warehouse

· Report any paperwork or other discrepancies

Shift Times:

Ability to do afternoon shifts Monday and Friday from 2pm-6pm, or on weekends preferable.

However, there is the possibility for other shift days and times that may vary depending on volume of work and business needs.

Required Qualifications:

· Good organizational, multitasking and time management skills

· Valid BC Driver's License

· 25 years old or older, due to insurance purposes

· Sit-down counterbalance forklift driving certified and experience

· Ability to pass criminal record check

· Ability to lift heavy objects up to 10kg repetitively

· Familiarity with warehousing best practices

· Is a quick learner and able to keep up in a fast-paced environment

· Able to assess stressful situations in a calm manner and make decisions based on changing information

· Ability to effectively handle critical issues and work under pressure with tight deadlines

· Good communication skills

· Safety conscious and able to follow proper company procedures

· Steel-toed boots

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

· Fun, positive and professional attitude

· Punctual and flexible with work hours based on volume of work during busy seasons

· Work experience as a warehouse worker considered an asset but not required

Compensation:

$22 per hour

Location:

Richmond, BC

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $22.00 per hour
