ICBC ACCREDITED AUTOBODY REPAIR SHOP

Please note that applicants without any of the bare minimum requirements will be rejected.

Requirements

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of autobody estimating experience.
  • Proficiency in Mitchell Estimating.
  • Strong understanding of ICBC claim procedures and rules.
  • Ability to write and submit estimates with minimal supervision.
  • Audatex/Qapter estimating is an asset (we currently do not use but may in the future)
  • I-CAR Gold/Platinum certification is an asset.

  • Knowledge of vehicle components and manufacturer repair procedures.

  • Fluency in English: written and spoken.

  • Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with customer service-oriented attitude.

  • Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Interacting professionally with customers to make sure that their needs are met.
  • Writing Estimates/Quotes: ICBC Claims, Private Repairs, and Fleet Repairs.
  • Proof-reading Jr. Estimator's Fleet Estimates prior to submission.
  • Taking proper photos for submission to ICBC and Fleet partners.
  • Occasionally write supplements depending on applicant's experience.
  • Ordering Parts from Auto-wreckers, Aftermarket, OE Surplus, OEM suppliers.
  • Coordination with the manager for booking in new jobs and sublet operations.
  • Occasionally assist with moving vehicles at the shop, to sublet, or other locations.
  • Occasionally assist with other shop operations.
