Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently. Prior experience in food service or restaurant hospitality is preferred, along with strong phone etiquette and customer service skills. The Host/Host will play a vital role in creating a memorable dining experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process efficiently
  • Handle reservations and waitlist management using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Provide menus, answer questions about menu items, and assist guests with special requests
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow
  • Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing accurate information and reservations as needed
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area
  • Support restaurant operations during busy periods by coordinating seating and guest flow

Requirements

  • Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required
  • Hotel or food service experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude essential for creating a welcoming environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
