Assistant Artistic Director

As an Assistant Artistic Director at Ubisoft Toronto, you will support the Artistic Director (AD) by ensuring their vision is accurately implemented across the team's deliverables. Alongside your own production tasks, you'll help maintain artistic consistency, provide preliminary qualitative reviews, and at times lead a smaller team or area of expertise within the artistic direction scope. Your role will be key in ensuring our creative output meets Ubisoft's artistic standards.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the AD to help define the artistic charter for your discipline through research and analysis.
- Communicate artistic content and quality expectations regularly to the team, referencing documents and visual materials as needed.
- Coordinate preliminary validation of produced elements to ensure alignment with the artistic charter, or follow up on and validate data from your unit.
- Keep the AD informed of project progress and deliverables, enabling accurate assessment of milestones.
- Complete production tasks within your trade as part of your workload.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What you bring to the team
- College diploma in your trade oriented toward video games or equivalent; Bachelor's degree is an asset.
- 2–4 years' experience in your trade or other relevant experience.
- Experience across all game production phases is an asset.
- Strong ability to provide constructive feedback and communicate a clear vision.
- Good artistic judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships and influence others.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skills in stress and change management.
- Broad artistic culture is an asset.
