Experienced Laundry Equipment Service Field Technician and Gas Fitter

Established Commercial and Industrial Laundry Equipment distributor is looking for experienced Field Service & Sales Technicians for the South Western Ontario region; G2 license, Field Experience and Good technical and people skills required. Training on specific equipment provided, but candidates must have technical aptitude, good people and communication skills, basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word & Excel etc.,), and be capable of performing field chemical tests, programming washing equipment microprocessors, and be able to maintain and program electronic dispensing systems. Will be responsible for the installation, customer/ technical support, and proper execution of our On-Premises Laundry (OPL) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit proficiency in the servicing and troubleshooting of laundry and dry cleaning equipment and related products
  • required to visit customer sites to repair, install and/or maintain various equipment as needed – large machines and parts require physical strength to service
  • Excellent customer relations, communicate in a professional manner with co-employees, subcontractors
  • Complete accurate written job tickets and related memorandum
  • Be aware of and remain responsible for his or her truck inventory
  • Attend company meetings and factory seminars as required
  • To act in accordance with the Ontario Health and Safety Act and Dalex Policy and Procedures Manual as lifting and physical labour is required.
  • To adhere to all environment polices and procedure as required.

Skills Required

  • A mechanical and electronic aptitude
  • A valid gas fitters 2 certificate an absolute requirement
  • Physical strength, mobility and a desire to get hands dirty
  • A desire to travel, both locally and overnight as well as for industry specific service seminars as required.
  • Have working knowledge of electronic wiring diagrams, schematics and mechanical blueprints
  • Adhere to all local, provincial and federal building codes practices and regulations.
  • valid Ontario Drivers License, as travel is required
  • the ability and initiative to work independently, but also in a team environment as required.
  • Quality Focus, Productivity, Product Knowledge, Customer Service, Problem Solving, Safety Management required

Compensation
