Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$35.63/hour + 4% vacation pay

Hybrid role (Tues-Thurs onsite) Oakville ON

What's a typical day as a Buyer? You'll be:

  • Creating, issuing, and managing purchase orders based on approved requisitions while ensuring accuracy of details such as pricing, quantities, and delivery dates
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers, maintaining positive relationships, resolving order discrepancies, and evaluating vendor performance
  • Processing invoice and payment activities including 3-way matching, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating with Accounts Payable for timely processing
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records within ERP/P2P systems, updating vendor data, and supporting month-end close and procurement reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, identifying process improvement opportunities, supporting audits, and collaborating in continuous improvement initiatives

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Have 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or procure-to-pay operations
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of procure-to-pay processes, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), and Google applications
  • Showcase exceptional attention to detail, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Can manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with e-procurement platforms and automated P2P solutions
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and invoice processing
  • Certification in procurement (CPSM, CPPB) or working toward certification
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools
