Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Rental Car Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient workflow within the rental car department.

The Assistant Manager will be joining an existing Management Team who oversees and helps support the overall Branch Operations at 3 of our West End Locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the rental car department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor and maintain vehicle inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in training and development of staff.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as reporting and record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual
  • Previous experience in the car rental industry or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and rental management software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
  • G drivers license
  • Clean Driver's abstract
  • Eligible to work in Canada

Physical Requirements:

Applicant must possess all hearing, speaking and communicating capabilities necessary to complete the responsibilities detailed above. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following such as sitting, standing, speaking, hearing, writing, typing, filing, seeing, and reading. Knowledge of equipment operation such as computer terminal, telephone, calculator, printer, and scanner is required.

Schedule:

This is a Full-Time Management role supporting multiple locations 7 days a week. Hours of work will fluctuate due to the hours of operation and may include holidays, weekends, and shift work. Expect to work between 40-44 hours per week. Deadlines may occur and it is expected that, if required, additional time will be spent to meet these deadlines.

License/Certification:

Class G License or equivalent with clean record (required)
