ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will act as a key technical interface between project teams, subcontractors, and consultants to support the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems. You will assist with technical reviews, coordination activities, and issue resolution to ensure mechanical works are aligned with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help facilitate effective communication and integration of mechanical systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate mechanical technical activities across the project, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and associated systems.
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and design documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.
  • Support the resolution of technical issues related to the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to support schedule adherence and quality objectives.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation such as RFIs, submittals, reports, and change requests.
  • Support site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to verify system performance and compliance.
  • Monitor and report on mechanical work progress, identifying potential risks, clashes, or coordination issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience providing mechanical coordination support on construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, installation, and commissioning practices.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and project management tools is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
