Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien and Nutrien Ag Solutions.  This is a temporary position and will run for a 6 month duration October 2025 to April 2026What you will do:Contribute to the timely completion of doubled haploid projects through microspore extractions, embryo plating, subculture/plantlet transfers, ploidy analysis, and doubled haploid plantlet planting.Document recalcitrant genotypes and record any adjustments in the protocol used to achieve embryogenesis.Coordinate marker screening of doubled haploid plantlets with the molecular team.Adhere to quality assurance processes and standard operating procedures to ensure the gene purity of all double haploid derived genotypes.Accurately label and select donor plants, tissue culture material, and doubled haploid plantlets.Complete data collection according to established procedures.Assist with experiments and maintain, organize, and summarize experimental results.Actively contribute to team activities such as media preparation, equipment maintenance, lab housekeeping, and protocol improvement efforts.As requested, provide support in green house, field, pathology, and molecular lab work activities.Model our core value of safety by always utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.Embrace a safety-mindset, committing to safe work practices through Key Daily Actions.Demonstrate willingness and enthusiasm to complete additional tasks to meet business objectives.What you will bring:Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Biology, or related field is required.
