• Sales and Customer Service Manager

Cleese Catering is a Toronto-based, full-service corporate and event catering company specializing in corporate catering programs, office dining, and large-scale events. We work with corporate offices, professional services firms, venues, and private clients, delivering high-quality food and reliable execution at every level. All menus are prepared fresh in-house with a strong focus on consistency, presentation, and flavour. From daily corporate lunches to high-volume events and premium experiences, Cleese Catering operates in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment where details matter. Role Summary


• Drive new revenue across corporate and event catering


• Manage and grow existing catering accounts


• Deliver high-level customer service from inquiry through execution


• Bring a proven background in catering sales and account management


• Retain clients, grow spend, and manage multiple active accounts


• This is a performance-driven role focused on results

Core Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development


• Drive new corporate, event, and recurring catering revenue


• Bring an existing book of catering clients or build one quickly


• Prospect corporate offices, office managers, executive assistants, planners, venues, and agencies


• Prepare proposals, estimates, menus, and tastings


• Close deals within approved pricing and margin targets


• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities

Account Management, Catering-Specific


• Own and manage assigned catering accounts end to end


• Act as the long-term relationship manager, not just the closer


• Manage recurring corporate catering programs and repeat clients


• Understand client budgets, preferences, dietary needs, and service expectations


• Recommend seasonal menus, rotations, and new offerings


• Monitor account performance and client satisfaction


• Drive account growth and prevent client churn

Customer Service and Client Experience


• Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts and major events


• Manage changes, revisions, and last-minute requests professionally


• Resolve issues quickly while protecting margins and operations


• Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients

Internal Coordination and Execution


• Translate client needs into clear, executable event briefs


• Coordinate with the Executive Chef, kitchen team, and operations


• Ensure accuracy in headcounts, timing, dietary requirements, rentals, and staffing


• Confirm final details and client approvals before execution

Revenue and Performance Accountability


• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets


• Manage and grow revenue across assigned accounts


• Track pipeline, bookings, renewals, and repeat business


• Provide forecasts and sales reporting


• Identify pricing, packaging, and retention opportunities

Required Experience and Skills


• Proven experience in catering sales and account management


• Ability to manage multiple active catering accounts


• Strong understanding of catering operations and logistics


• Experience with recurring corporate catering programs


• Strong negotiation and closing skills


• Clear written and verbal communication


• High level of organization and accountability


• Comfortable working under pressure
