The Opportunity:
We're looking for a
Senior Platform Engineer
to design and evolve the backbone of this company's platform. You'll shape the architecture that keeps everything running fast, secure, and scalable — enabling engineers to ship smarter and faster.
This is a pivotal role for an engineer who loves
building systems at scale
, mentoring others, and solving complex technical challenges in the cloud.
What You'll Do
- Architect the Core:
Design and implement scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure. - Own the Cloud:
Lead provisioning, management, and optimization of systems on
Google Cloud Platform
(GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL). - Automate Everything:
Implement
Infrastructure as Code
(Terraform, Pulumi) and maintain robust
CI/CD pipelines
(GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.). - Empower Developers:
Build the tooling, monitoring, and automation that drives developer productivity and operational reliability. - Lead & Mentor:
Collaborate cross-functionally, guide engineers on best practices, and influence long-term platform strategy.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years in
Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure
, including 2+ in a senior or lead capacity. - Proven expertise in
GCP
(AWS/Azure experience a plus). - Strong foundation in
distributed systems
and service-oriented architectures. - Hands-on with
Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
, and CI/CD automation tools. - Proficiency in
Go, Python, or Java
for automation and internal tooling. - Excellent communicator with a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with
service mesh
or
observability stacks
(Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). - Familiarity with
data pipelines
or
event-driven systems
. - Previous leadership in
infrastructure modernization
or
platform scalability
initiatives.
