Job description

Our basic principle is centered on application virtualization with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop to enable access to Windows applications from individual workstations.

The Citrix Administrator will serve as a senior-level Citrix expert with operational and design engineering responsibilities for the Citrix scope in the Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with IT teams and business partners to design and implement solutions that meet business needs;

  • Diagnose and resolve complex application connection/performance issues;

  • Ensure that all changes in production are made in accordance with the production lifecycle methodology and risk and change management guidelines;

  • Participate in/contribute to on-call duties, after-hours interventions, and possibly weekends on a rotating basis with the team, with a flexible schedule;

  • Write and review operational procedures in conjunction with global counterparts in Paris;

  • Escalate incidents to the appropriate level; to the Control Towers and/or Management if necessary;

  • Close and review incidents regularly to improve monitoring and reduce the number of tickets;

  • As a senior expert, mentor other team members;

  • Actively participate in architecture reviews and strategic development activities;

  • Provide L3 support and application support for incident management.

Qualifications:

  • Several years of relevant experience in IT operations;

  • Experience in Citrix infrastructure administration/support (XenApp and XenDesktop 22.03);

  • Experience in Citrix NetScaler administration/support ;

  • Experience in Ivanti End User Workspace Management administration/support;

  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019;

  • Experience with Windows 11 (a plus);

  • Exposure to other infrastructure areas: Active Directory, VMware, NAS storage, backup & restore, SQL Server, etc.

  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, PowerShell scripting, and Agile methodologies is appreciated;

  • Experience with VMware and VDI virtualization;

  • Automation/scripting skills (VBScript, CMD, PowerShell);

  • Basic understanding of project management;

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English. English is required as the position involves communicating with clients located outside Quebec.
