Pixieset is hiring a Software Developer, Full Stack to help shape the foundation of our growing platform, supporting over 1 million photographers and creative professionals worldwide. As a member of the platform team, you'll work across the stack with a focus on backend systems - designing and building the core services, APIs, and infrastructure that power our expanding product suite. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that are central to Pixieset's long-term growth. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering peers to ship high-impact features, improve scalability, and enhance the developer experience across teams. If you are self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about technology, we'd love for you to join our team.
Your Impact
- Design, develop, and implement product features across the full stack, with a focus on backend development using PHP (Laravel), while also working with Javascript )
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to support scalable backend systems and user-facing functionality
- Deliver everything from user-facing improvements to backend optimizations and scalable system enhancements spanning multiple codebases
- Help improve and maintain the Pixieset product architecture, APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and work with team members to solve complex technical challenges
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Research and integrate new technologies to enhance performance, security, and the development process
Role
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Developer building custom web applications
- Experience with PHP and preferably its frameworks (Laravel, Yii, or Symfony)
- Experience with Javascript and preferably , React, jQuery, ES6, Webpack
- Experience with relational database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Solid understanding of basic data structures and algorithms, and web technologies including HTTP, RESTful services, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS

The typical salary range for this position is CAD $94,050 - $128,100 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
