about this team

The Concept Creator, Advanced Concepts is a problem solver and connector who brings tangible innovations to life—from ideation through proof of concept (POC). In this role, you will partner with designers, researchers, and materials teams to understand the technology solutions behind ideas and translate critical thinking into workable concepts for testing and validation.

You thrive in ambiguity and embrace an innovation mindset—comfortable with not knowing and driven by curiosity. This role centers on apparel product development, requiring strong technical design expertise to create and refine prototypes, including sewing, fitting, and adjusting garments. You will elevate creation by iterating through concepts and prototypes in our in-house workshop.

what you bring

  • A deep passion for developing innovative, performance and functionally led apparel that redefines the on-body experience.
  • Experience in leading the full product development lifecycle from concept through commercialization, including pressure testing, wear-testing, and material expertise.
  • Expertise in performance product construction; translating design intent into technical execution, ensuring performance, function, and quality standards are met.
  • A collaborative mindset, eager to work across teams to bring ideas to life.

what you'll do

  • Demonstrate proficiency in prototype creation, including sewing, fitting, and refining garments to bring concepts to life.
  • Lead and document fit sessions; communicate adjustments for pattern making and construction.
  • Push boundaries by exploring and testing new methods of make and manufacturing
  • Create, update, and maintain complete tech packs (BOMs, construction, specs, artwork, trim details).
  • Build and manage seasonal Time & Action (T&A) calendars and key development milestones.
  • Ensure fit, function, and performance are optimized throughout the development process.
  • Partner with materials teams to test and validate performance fabrics, trims, finishes, and new technologies.
  • Work directly with global vendors and factories to guide product execution. Provide clear feedback on samples, construction issues, quality concerns, and manufacturability.

qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Product Development, Apparel Product Manufacturing, Product Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the performance apparel industry.
  • Proficiency and capability in hands-on prototyping
  • Expert knowledge of apparel manufacturing technologies and equipment, tooling, and materials is highly preferred. Including product creation software and tools.
  • High profile communication and influencing skills, including the ability to interact and update leaders on status to ensure alignment.
  • Proficient understanding of product testing best practices, product planning and logistics, process planning, and expertise in project management with strong communication skills.
  • Adjust to changing circumstances and adapt to ensure product excellence.
  • In-depth understanding of the innovation creation calendar dates and gates, with the ability to adjust project plans based on compressed timelines and Business needs.
  • The ability to travel 30% of the time.

must haves

  • Acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results.
  • Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same.
  • Lead with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.
  • Foster connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships.
  • Integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn't take yourself too seriously.
