We are looking for an Extrusion Opertaor - Blown Plasticfor r the operation and routine maintenance of our extrusion equipment for our Whitby Facility. This position is a rotating, 12-hour shift which will require weekend shifts.

This position is currently open and reflects new positions created to support organizational growth.

This position has a starting rate of $21.99 per hour with growth and increases based on training and skill development within the role.

Responsibilities
When your actions lead to success:

• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives including all first aid injuries, accidents and workplace hazards;
• Responsible for producing a quality product while maintaining production performance;
• Comfortable working with computers;
• Assist in troubleshooting minor machine problems when equipment is down or not performing to standard;
• Constantly monitor quality and waste for all orders being produced;
• Continually learn the responsibilities of the various positions to advance in the line of progression;
• Physical demands include lifting up to 40 pounds, walking/standing for long periods of time.

Qualifications
When your expertise drives us:

• Manufacturing experience is required and experience in blown film or flexible packaging preferred;
• Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision and handle a wide variety of responsibilities in a busy and sometimes hot environment;
• Must be able to work twelve (12) hour rotating continental shifts and every second weekend
• Must have own transportation as transit does not operate in area before 6:00am
