Farm Retail Store Sales Associate

We're looking for a retail sales associate to join our team here at Halls Apple Market. Halls is a one-stop shop for all things apples, we are known for pick-your-own, delicious baked goods and gourmet foods. We also carry a small selection of clothing and accessories.

Please Note: This is NOT a summer position, this position would continue year-round.

Job Description: You will be responsible for assisting in the operation of the retail store helping to sell the many local products we carry. You will be helping customers, stocking shelves, attending the checkout, as well as assisting the bakery staff at times.

Primary Accountabilities:

· Performing World Class Service Greeting and serving customers

· Having a keen awareness of product knowledge

· Restocking merchandise

· Determining customers' needs

· Handling cash-making change

· Preparing store for opening

· Having a basic knowledge of in-store merchandising

· Keeping store tidy

· Responding to customer concerns

· Label products

· Assisting in the Bakery

· Other duties as assigned by the manager

Wage: Starting at $ starting wage dependent on experience.

Qualifications:

This position requires a person who:

· Has strong verbal communication skills

· Has high energy, a warm pleasant attitude,

· Is outgoing and a team player

· Has the ability to build a relationship with the customer and staff

· Has positive problem-solving skills

· Has strong leadership skills

· Has strong organizational skills

· Has outstanding sales ability

· Maintains a clean, tidy appearance

Skills and other things we are looking for:

· Be hard working and self-motivated.

· Be able to work autonomously with little supervision.

· Be committed to continuous improvement and proactive in identifying areas of change.

· Be versatile in your approach to all tasks set with excellent organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

· Standing for the duration of the shift

· Lifting to 30 lbs.

· Bending
