We're seeking an experienced cook to join our close-knit kitchen team. We pride ourselves on preparing fresh, family-style meals using whole, natural ingredients. Our kitchen staff are cross-trained across all stations, creating opportunities for growth and skill development.

Position Overview As part of our kitchen team, you'll be involved in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations. From receiving fresh ingredients to final plating, you'll work alongside experienced staff who share our commitment to quality home-style cooking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh ingredients, including breaking down whole chickens and processing fresh vegetables
  • Execute consistent food preparation during both prep and service periods
  • Maintain our high standards for food quality and kitchen cleanliness
  • Receive and properly store deliveries following FIFO principles
  • Coordinate cooking activities to ensure timely order completion
  • Participate in end-of-day kitchen cleanup and next-day preparation

Work Schedule

  • Monday 3 to 5pm, Tuesday off, Wednesday noon to 8pm, Thursday 2 to 8pm, Friday 1 to 8pm, Saturday noon to 8pm and Sunday noon to 8pm for a total of 43 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven kitchen experience with solid cooking fundamentals
  • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen cleanliness
  • Physical stamina for extended periods of active kitchen work
  • Ability to learn and execute new recipes and techniques
  • Initiative-taking attitude and team-oriented mindset

Compensation

  • Starting at $21.00/hour
  • Performance-based increases as key skills are mastered
  • Many of our long-term staff earn over $30.00/hour
