We are seeking a dedicated and responsible driver to join our client's dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and safe transportation of technicians and equipment within the GTA. The driver will be in charge of operating a 20-foot truck, navigating through diverse routes to meet our service commitments.
Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle Operation:
- Safely operate a 20-foot truck in various traffic and weather conditions.
- Ensure adherence to all traffic and highway laws and regulations.
Equipment and Personnel Transport:
- Transport technicians and various equipment to different sites across GTA.
- Assist in loading and unloading equipment, ensuring secure and safe handling.
Maintenance and Safety:
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure).
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs promptly.
Route Planning and Time Management:
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Adjust routes as needed due to traffic or other unforeseen circumstances.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate travel logs and fuel consumption records.
- Ensure all transport-related documents are complete and up-to-date.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must possess a valid G full driver's license.
- Clean driving record (no violations or accidents in the past 5 years).
- Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with GTA routes.
- Good physical condition to assist with equipment handling.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
Experience:
- Previous experience in driving trucks or similar vehicles is preferred.
- Experience in logistics or transportation sectors is an asset.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Work hours may vary depending on operational needs.
