Level 4 / Journeyman HVAC Technician

Schedule: Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week

Pay Range: $40.00 – $52.00 per hour (based on experience, certifications, and performance)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Level 4 / Journeyman HVAC Technician to install, service, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate works independently, diagnoses complex system issues accurately, and delivers high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners, and rooftop units
  • Perform advanced diagnostics on electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes and safety standards
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and system performance testing
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues, repairs, and recommendations
  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and time spent
  • Mentor apprentices and junior technicians as needed
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company-provided vehicle in safe working condition

Qualifications

  • Level 4 / Journeyman HVAC certification or equivalent
  • Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on HVAC experience
  • EPA Universal Certification (required)
  • Strong electrical and refrigeration diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for company vehicle use)
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
