Crack Filler

Job Purpose

Responsible for drywall crack filling modular homes and mini homes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Optimize sheets for reduced waste and offcuts
• Be involved in hanging drywall on framed walls when needed ensuring screws are set to correct depth
• Use drywall paper tape and mud to apply layers onto tapered and butt joint seams
• Sand when necessary and finish to an acceptable level to be ready for paint
• Good housekeeping practices and cleaning up after yourselves

Could involve one or more of the following tasks.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work in a team environment contributing to effective production goals.
• Identify and report faulty equipment, damage, and safety concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Strong safety mindset with the ability to perform all duties with a high degree of safety consciousness.
• Might be asked to assist with other shop duties

Working Conditions

Plant conditions, working with heavy machines, and loud noises.

Essential Job Function Requirements

May require heavy lifting up to 50lbs, extended periods of standing, active movement required, and must be able to work with hands.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 9 hour shift
• Monday to Thursday
• 7 hour shift on Fridays

• Fredericton, NB E3C 0B5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
