We Offer
- Competitive Pay: $35.50 per hour (trip rated); approximately $85,200 – $95,700 per year
- Pension: $4.05 per hour (approx $9720 per year) 100% paid by Arrow
- Full Benefits include dental, life insurance, pharmaceutical, vision care, chiropractor, massage, EAP, and more. 100% paid by Arrow.
- Shift: Sunday to Thursday, Starting at 3:00am and working a 11.5 hour shift

Responsibilities
As a professional driver with Arrow Transportation Systems Inc, working for the Chilliwack Mining Branch, you will have the opportunity to haul B train trailers and operate various equipment from tandem to tri drive trucks. We primarily haul copper ore form Princeton's "Copper Mountain" mine, we also haul road salt, soils, and biowaste. - Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations.
- Perform pre and post and en route trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.
- Comply with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics.
- Efficiently maneuver truck and trailer(s) into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
- May operate loading equipment as per role requirements.
- Check mobile equipment (i.e. frontend loaders) to ensure that mechanical and safety equipment is in good working order.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to the relevant supervisor.
- Report all safety hazards or conditions encountered at load, unload, yard and shop sites.
- Record, Maintain and Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading,) and documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
- Complete electronic and/or manual logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with the public, customers, and co-workers.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
- Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.
- Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements. Tarping loads may be a requirement.
- Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.
- Provide feedback to supervisor/dispatch regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems.
- Ensure that all customers, co-workers and the public are dealt with professionally and with respect.
- Train others when required.
You Possess
- A positive attitude
- Class 1 truck driver's license
- Driver's abstract with no suspensions
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- At least two job references
- B train experience is required
- Previous winter and mountain driving experience required
- Loader operation experience is an asset
