Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with experience in construction, carpentry, or maintenance person work are encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Install new roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, or membrane roofing
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components
  • Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and blueprint reading skills
  • Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and energy efficiency
  • Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely
  • Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and drills to complete tasks efficiently
  • Inspect roofs for damage or potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Maintain a clean and safe work site by adhering to safety standards and protocols
  • Assist with other construction or carpentry tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or maintenance person work preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Experience with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing techniques
  • Physical strength to perform heavy lifting and work at heights comfortably
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to roofing and construction sites
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Prior experience with blueprint reading is a plus
