DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
TD's Co-op/Intern Program offers hands-on experience, professional training, and networking opportunities. You'll learn from experienced colleagues, attend leadership talks, and participate in sessions on innovation, diversity, and personal branding—all designed to support your growth and career development.
Internal Audit
The Internal Audit Division at TD Bank provides independent and objective assurance to management and the board regarding the bank's risk and control environment. As the third line of defense, Internal Audit helps protect stakeholders by evaluating and improving TD's operations. The team has a broad view across all areas of the bank, offering independent opinions on risks and controls to support business success.
The Technology Audit team assesses key elements of the Bank's governance, risk management, and internal control processes, with a focus on information technology and systems used to support TD Bank.
Technology Audit is offering in-person internship opportunities in Toronto.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist in conducting audits of technology systems, applications, and processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support the evaluation of IT controls, cybersecurity measures, and risk management practices.
- Develop process maps and system/data flow diagrams that identify technology risks and controls, to support decisions about the audit scope.
- Participate in testing and documentation of system controls, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
- Help prepare audit workpapers, reports, and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with audit team members and technology stakeholders to gather data and clarify processes.
- Contribute to research on emerging technologies, risks, and best practices in IT governance and security.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards throughout all audit activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Analytics, Data, or a related field.
- Must plan to return to school after your work term (this is required for all co-op/intern positions).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Initiative and accountability for your actions.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates from IT-related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
- Anticipated graduation between December June 2027 preferred
