Engineering Manager, Cloud, Code, and Security

Our Cloud, Code, and Security team owns a majority of Vanta's security and cloud product surface, leading Vanta's investments into crucial security features like change management, vulnerability and scan remediation, and even cloud configurations across millions of assets. This team's efforts directly help GRC teams revolutionize how they make security real.

What you'll do as an Engineering Manager at Vanta:

• Lead your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably while holding a high bar for execution and quality

• Proactively identify, define, and lead strategic initiatives that align engineering capabilities with business outcomes.

• Guide technical strategy, ensuring that your teams are enabling long-term value aligned with Vanta's business priorities.

• Build a high-impact engineering team - coach, mentor, and create an environment where your teams and managers can do their best work and deliver for the business.

• Play an integral role in influencing and shaping Vanta's engineering culture and strategy

How to be successful in this role:

• Have 2+ years of professional experience in a full-time engineering leadership role managing teams of 6-8+ engineers.

• Be a strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality.

• Have experience managing and upleveling senior individual contributors.

• Have a proven track record of guiding product and long term technical strategy.

• Have participated in developing or driving engineering-wide initiatives (recruiting processes, career frameworks, etc) in a prior role.
