Agropur is looking for a Quality Control Advisor to join the team in Saint-Hubert. The Quality Control Advisor plays a key role by providing expertise and support in all activities related to the operational quality of external warehouses (3PL) and fresh product distribution depots (cross-docks). This role ensures compliance with Agropur standards, resolves non-conformities and quality issues, and contributes to achieving organizational objectives

  • Salary range 004: $71 200 to $89000 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

What this role is about:

  • Managing operational quality issues related to 3PL warehouses such as complaints, returns, and internal incidents.

  • Verifying compliance and releases co-manufactured and importing products delivered to 3PL warehouses.

  • Communicating, simplifying, and clarifying Agropur's quality requirements, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations to 3PL warehouses. Ensuring these are respected and maintained in external warehouses.

  • Planning and ensuring proper execution of traceability exercises for Agropur finished products stored in 3PL warehouses. Analyzing traceability performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing required corrective actions.

  • Performing periodic follow-ups on quality results and trends in 3PL warehouses and collaborating on developing corrective actions when necessary.

  • Acting as a liaison for quality matters between the Operational Quality Manager, the 3PL warehouse management teams, and the 3PL warehouses themselves.

  • Developping, implementing, and ensuring compliance with Agropur quality standards in the fresh product distribution network depots (cross-docks).

  • Supporting the Operational Quality Manager in developing, writing, and deploying quality standards and qualification and monitoring processes for 3PL warehouses and distributors.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve and simplify processes related to operational quality and executing their implementation.

  • Managing and diligently following up on ongoing files and activities.

  • Acting as a change agent, promoting Agropur quality standards to 3PL teams.

  • Providing backup for other Quality Advisors when needed during absences.

What you need to join our team:

  • College or university degree in food science and technology or another relevant field;

  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in quality control and/or assurance in the food/beverage processing industry;

  • Experience in food product warehousing and distribution or in the dairy industry is an asset;

  • Good knowledge of HACCP systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and food safety regulations; knowledge of the SQF code is an asset;

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team mobilization skills (leadership and influence), with a good ability to work collaboratively;

  • Ability to manage complex situations and solve problems;

  • High level of autonomy, initiative, and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;

  • Ability to work without direct supervision and to organize tasks and projects effectively and rigorously while managing priorities;

  • Availability to travel up to 10% of the time based on needs;

  • Good knowledge and proficiency with standard computer tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.);

  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.Proficiency in spoken and written French and English is required.
