Job Description
Are you tech-savvy and curious about spatial data? Join the JDI IT team and gain hands-on experience using world-class GIS software to create high-quality spatial information products. You'll work on real projects that support industries like Forestry, Transportation, and Retail, while learning from a collaborative and motivated team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver spatial information products using industry-leading GIS tools.
  • Perform location-based analysis to support business decisions.
  • Assist in developing and supporting Desktop, Mobile, and Web GIS applications using Esri technologies.
  • Compile spatial datasets from sources such as GPS, LiDAR, census data, and satellite imagery.
  • Create reports and visualizations based on spatial data.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate with internal clients to understand project needs.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a University or College program with a focus on Geographic Information Systems or related field.
  • Familiarity with Esri tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise) is an asset.
  • Strong interest in technology, spatial analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new tools and processes.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Python or JavaScript for automation.
  • Knowledge of Esri mobile apps (Field Maps, Survey123) and advanced extensions (Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst).
