He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder Nicola Kilner.We are growing rapidly and we're looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with usWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe're hiring aJuniorVideographer & Content Creatorwho will support with the production of high-quality video and social media content.Only applicants who submit a link to their portfolio will be considered.This is a hybrid role based out of ourToronto office.WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLECollaborate with and support Senior Videographer & Editor on new projects, ideation, production sites and various tasksResponsible for shooting, and editing video content for web and social media across all channels and departments of the company at intermediate levelCreate video content optimized for social media platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, Meta, etc).Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuityEdit captured video to tell concise, visually pleasing storiesInput music, dialogues, graphics, effects, Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a videoSupport lead videographers and producers on set with equipment setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio environment, including proper storage of gear and props.Manage studio bookings, prep the space for shoots, and reset the space post-shoot.Strong level of understanding current trends in the Content Creation industry (for Social Media, Advertising, etc).Manage ongoing alignment with other departments (Social Media team, Brand team, and others) on project objectives and requirementsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE1–2 years of experience in video production, either freelance or in-house.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro; After Effects knowledge is a bonusProficient in any filming, editing software to create video content (Resolve, Premier Pro, etc).Experience creating Social Media content for other brands and/or influencers. Social media content for Beauty or Skincare Brands is a plus.Experience creating short form video or film projects.Proficiency with all video equipment, including but not limited to DSLRs, professional film cameras, lighting, and microphones and audio equipmentAbility to use/practice software with GAI (Generative Artificial Intelligence) software for agile concepting and ideation is a nice assetWHAT YOU'LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAMThere's a lot of good stuff that comes along with being a DECIEM team member.
