Relief Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and professional Relief Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide relief coverage for some shifts in December. A critical requirement for this role is proven proficiency and recent hands-on experience with the Kroll Paperless pharmacy management system. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless continuity of all pharmacy services, maintaining our high standards of patient care, and operating with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently verify and dispense prescriptions in compliance with federal, provincial, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct thorough pharmaceutical assessments, including clinical checks for drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosages.
• Provide comprehensive patient counselling to ensure understanding of medication use, side effects, and adherence.
• Administer injections and vaccinations in accordance with public health guidelines and pharmacy protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient therapy.
• Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in using the Kroll Paperless software for all pharmacy workflows.
• Efficiently process new prescriptions, refills, and transfers within the Kroll system.
• Manage patient profiles, drug interactions, and billing (including third-party billing) using Kroll.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in Ontario.
• Proficiency with the Kroll Paperless pharmacy software system.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
• Ability to build rapid rapport with patients and staff.
