A Day in the Life:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Journeyman Electrician/Instrumentation Technician provides electrical and instrumentation support services to plant operations, troubleshoot equipment, install new services, maintain safety of employees and facilities, communicate with vendors, keep accurate records, and participate in emergency callouts.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform all duties safely, display safety leadership, cultivate a zero-incident safety culture, and comply with all government and corporate safety requirements.Maintain all electrical equipment, PLC/HMI, power distribution, and related services within areas of expertise.Safely operate plant equipment including forklift, aerial work platform and skid steer.Responsible for doing preventive maintenance (breakdown calls and be able to perform trouble shooting) checks as required by preventive maintenance schedule.Responsible for following work orders processes in place, contacting vendors, ordering supplies and keeping accurate records.Responsible for maintaining working area and electrical warehouse in a safe, tidy condition.Responsible for on-the-job training of apprentice workers.Take ownership of the facility and exemplify quality attention to detailsProvide quality workmanship and the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPerform other duties as required.Skill/Experience Requirements:
Graduate of a recognized electrical and/or instrumentation program with interprovincial journeyman ticket.Strong acumen surrounding instrumentation installation/troubleshooting is an assetExcellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills and team orientation.Ability to repair & troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation & control equipment & emission monitoring instrumentation.Ability to install process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valvesAbility to calibrate a variety of instrumentsAbility to interact with all levels of staff, management, vendors and contractors.Ability to lead electrical contractors as required.Ability to read electrical blueprints and update them as necessary.Knowledge of application software including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC software such as RSView.SAP knowledge is an asset.Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as required.Ability to work at heights or off a platform.Unrestricted cross border mobility.Ability to be on-call as directed by the maintenance schedule.At Bunge, people don't just come here to work, they come here to grow – solving challenges that directly impact the world with a diverse and talented team working to make us the most innovative and dynamic company in our industry.
