Role Description

We are looking for a skilled, G2-certified HVAC professional to take a lead role in residential installation projects across Toronto. The individual must also be interested in project coordination and onsite supervision of the construction projects. This position requires both exceptional hands-on technical skills and proven project management capability.

Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour

Qualifications

  • Ideal - 2 Years of Professional Experience in residential HVAC installation.
  • TSSA G2 Gas Technician Certificate (required to work on gas-fired appliances up to 400,000 BTUH).
  • HVAC Heating and Cooling Certificate (e.g., Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic 313D or equivalent trade certification/experience).
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities (Technical & Installation)

  • Installations: Perform complete residential HVAC installations (furnaces, A/C, heat pumps, etc.) for new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work meets TSSA regulations, the Ontario Building Code, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during installation and commissioning.
  • Documentation: Complete all job-related paperwork, permits, and start-up reports accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities (Coordination & Management)

  • Project Coordination: Oversee construction timelines, coordinating with builders and other trades.
  • Trades Supervision: Act as the on-site leader, managing and supervising other trades personnel and specialized sub-trades.
  • Labourer Management: Effectively direct and work alongside labourers, organizing tasks like material staging and site preparation.
  • Scheduling: Proactively manage project schedules and deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of workmanship and perform final quality checks on all installed systems.
