About Echelon Wellness:
Echelon Wellness is a patient-focused organization striving to enhance the health and well-being of specialized populations through patient care. Our focus is on providing exemplary physical and mental health care for military veterans.
We are expanding our Edmonton clinic and are currently recruiting for two Nurse Practitioner roles. Applicants may apply to the role that best aligns with their skills, interests, and schedule preferences.
The Roles:
1) Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care (In-Person)
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessment, screening, and therapeutic care to a specialized patient population in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
• Provide thorough clinical assessments and develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage therapeutic care in accordance with patient needs
• Deliver empathetic and efficient service in a primary care environment
• Utilize shockwave therapy in the treatment of select chronic conditions (training provided)
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in alignment with professional standards
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Stay current with best practices, clinical guidelines, and ethical standards in Nurse Practitioner practice
2) Nurse Practitioner – Disability Assessment & Support (Hybrid)
This role focuses primarily on structured disability assessments, report preparation, and documentation. Limited short-term clinical coverage may be required to support the team during leaves or absences.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct structured clinical disability assessments and prepare supporting documentation
• Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) to assess individuals' physical and functional limitations
• Complete documentation and report writing, with flexibility to work remotely
• Provide short-term clinical coverage as needed
• Maintain organized and confidential electronic health records
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary providers
Qualifications/Education (applies to both roles):
• Current certificate of registration as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the College of Nurses in the applicable province
• Master of Science in Nursing (or relevant graduate degree preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Capable of working independently with sound judgment and professional accountability
• Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and digital documentation tools
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Additional liability coverage required; professional memberships considered an asset
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Canada (sponsorship is not available)
