Senior Java Microservices Developer – GCP & Kubernetes

The best candidate is a full-stack Java developer with strong experience building and deploying microservices, ideally with hands-on expertise using Kubernetes for container orchestration on GCP.

Contract Duration
: 4 months with high likelihood of extension

Business group
: COAT - Contact Centre Technology - managing the bank's voice applications and leading the build out of a new voice service from the ground up.

Project:
MuleSoft is scheduled for decommissioning by June 2026 therefore, a transition to a replacement platform will be required, specifically the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Atlas, to host new API services for the IVR channel. The expertise of a developer contractor resource will be required to help implement new API services using Kubernetes on GCP.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

10 years of hands-on experience with Java / Spring Boot, GitHub

3-5 years of experience with GCP using Kubernetes/Kubernetes GKE

3-5 years of hands-on design and development of APIs and microservices using Java.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

API testing tools (Postman)

Experience with WebSphere and Tomcat

SQL experience
