We are currently seeking compassionate, flexible, and experienced individuals to join our team as Enhanced Support Staff to help provide additional care and assistance for children with special needs in our child care center.

Position Overview:

The Enhanced Support Staff will work closely with our educators to support children with diverse needs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. This role involves assisting with daily routines, transitions, and providing individualized support based on each child's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with special needs
  • Assist in implementing individualized care strategies and classroom routines
  • Support educators in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Observe and communicate the child's progress and needs to the lead educator
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and dignity of all children at all times

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children with special needs (required)
  • Patience, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators and adapt to changing needs throughout the day
  • Knowledge of child development and inclusive practices is an asset
  • Current first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
