Our Commissary Kitchen, located near Lawrence & the DVP, is where the magic happens Producing the gourmet meals, baked goods, and catering that define the Summerhill experience.
Now we're looking for an HR Generalist who's equal parts people-focused and process-driven to join our Commissary team. You'll be the go-to support for our growing team of employees keeping things organized, building strong connections, and helping our teams do what they do best.
What you'll do
- Be the daily HR touchpoint for our Commissary — supporting production, logistics, bakery, and operations teams
- Partner with leadership on employee relations, attendance, and performance management
- Own the recruitment cycle from posting to onboarding and new hire orientation
- Maintain organized, accurate employee records, training logs, and compliance documents
- Support benefits, vacation tracking, payroll coordination, and HR reporting
- Keep policies and communication consistent across the site
- Jump in on engagement, recognition, and team initiatives that make work better for everyone
- Collaborate with Head Office (HR, Finance, Operations) to keep things running smoothly
Assist with scheduling, data entry, audits, and seasonal projects when needed
May need to assist and support Bakery, Kitchen, and other areas of logistics as needed
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years of hands-on HR experience — generalist or coordinator level
- A solid understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation
- Experience in food production, grocery, or manufacturing environments is a big plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills — you get things done
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office; ADP Workforce Now or HRIS experience an asset
- Someone proactive, approachable, and comfortable juggling competing priorities
- Post-secondary education in HR or Business; CHRP designation (or working toward it) is an asset

All full-time roles are 44 hours per week. Pay is negotiable based on experience.
